There are many opportunities for youth to get connected at Grace!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

We have engaging Bible-based classes with plenty of discussion for youth every Sunday morning 9:50- 10:50 A.M.

Middle School meets in Room 4 on the lower level (LL)

High School meets in Room 12 across and down from the library

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

Each Sunday night from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. the Generation Youth Fellowship gathers for chill time with friends, games, worship and a message.  Doors open to the Youth Center (at the top of the stairs down the elevator hall to the right) at 6 P.M. for Wii, Playstation, and X-Box gaming and fellowship.  Come and bring a friend!

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC

Grace offers an excellent music program with choirs for all ages and a bell choir.  Most practice on Wednesday nights.

HEART OF WORSHIP PRAISE BAND
Older youth are invited to discuss possible participation in the Heart of Worship Praise Band or to put together a band of their own.

The United Methodist Church provides an outstanding camping ministry for youth – we help our young people get connected with these Christian camping experiences and underwrite a portion of the costs for families in active membership of Grace.  Retreats of every sort are offered by the Youth Ministries:  Ski Retreats, Beach Retreats, Spiritual Growth Retreats, to name a few.

MISSION/SERVICE TRIPS

Every other year, Grace youth and adults team up to go to the Appalachias for an Appalachia Service Project (ASP) trip where they encourage hearts and make homes warmer, safer, and drier.  (see www.asphomes.org) ASP 2011 is June 11-18th, with an informational meeting on Sunday, Jan. 16th at 6 P.M. in Room 4.   Register then with a $50 deposit.  All other monies will be raised through fund-raisers.  Carpentry, etc. skills a help, but not necessary.  Young Adult Trips are also available…last year they went to Mexico to do outreach, medical mission,  and evangelism.

SCHOLARSHIPS/STUDENT LOANS
The United Methodist Church provides opportunities for eligible students to receive college scholarship awards and student loans – many of our Grace Church youth have benefited from this financial assistance over the years as they have transitioned into college.

ACOLYTES
These youth up through 9th grades assist in conducting both the 8:30 Traditional and 11:00 Sanctuary worship services.
