Additional Youth Ministries

In addition to Generation YF, here’s some more opportunities for our Youth to get connected…

Sunday School – we offer engaging Bible-based classes with plenty of discussion for youth every Sunday morning from 9:50 to 10:50 (Kids for Christ Class/Grades 6, 7, 8  - Room 2; High School Class/Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 – Room 4).  Come and learn!

God’s Future Generation (GFG):
A singing group for youth in grades 6 through 12. We sing in the 11:00 Services once a month. On Christmas Eve, GFG along with the Carol Choir present an original musical play. In the spring, GFG is the key component of Youth Sunday, organizing, and conducting the Heart of Worship service. Rehearsals are Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:00 in the Choir Room, located in the Lower Level. Dave “Bubba” Billman is the GFG Director. Please email him or call 258-5620 for more information.

Carol Choir:
A singing group for grades 2 through 8. We sing in the 11:00 Services, once a month, rotating between the Sanctuary and the Heart of Worship. On Christmas Eve, the Carol Choir and God’s Future Generation present an original musical play. In the spring, the Carol Choir alone presents an original musical play. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 6:30-7:15, in the Choir Room, located in the Lower Level. Dave “Bubba” Billman is the Carol Choir Director. Please email him or call 258-5620 for more information.

Heart of Worship Praise Band:
Older youth are invited to discuss possible participation in the Heart of Worship Praise Band with our Worship Leader, Eric Snyder.

Bell Choir:
Youth are invited to participate in a bell choir open to ages 9 and up!

Camping Ministry

The United Methodist Church provides an outstanding camping ministry for youth – we help our young people get connected with these Christian camping experiences and underwrite a portion of the costs for families in active membership of Grace.

Scholarships/Student Loans:
The United Methodist Church provides opportunities for eligible students to receive college scholarship awards and student loans – many of our Grace Church youth have benefited from this financial assistance over the years as they have transitioned into college.

Acolytes:
These youth up through 9th grades assist in conducting both the 8:30 Traditional and 11:00 Sanctuary worship services.

Safe Sanctuary Policy – we follow safe sanctuaries guidelines for the protection of the youth we serve, including State Police and Child Abuse Registry background checks on all adult volunteers and staff who work with young people in any capacity.
